What you fill your holes with will determine your happiness

We all have holes. We all need to fill them. Sometimes we fill them with people. Sometimes with food. Sometimes with shoes. Try this. Try filling your holes with verbs instead of nouns. Fill your holes with experiences.

I think many of us have a habit of desperately filling our emptiness with external things. And by doing so, we believe it or he or she will complete us. But if we do this, we will begin to lose ourselves because we are filling ourselves with projections instead of our truth. There is no stretch.

If we fill our emptiness with experiences, trips, dates, alone time, rides, workouts, building, creating, expressing, what scares us, excites us, makes us feel alive, even relationships as long as we are not filling it with the person, we will start to find ourselves.

A hole is not supposed to be filled with something or someone.

It’s a space for life.
