There are foundation people and there are condiments people. The condiments people do a lot of tap dancing and draw attention. They add flavor. But they lack substance. They are slippery. They are ego driven. Foundation people have legs. They are solid. You can trust them. They are not reactive. They use less “I” statements. They build sustaining relationships and will create rich soil for your growth. So ask yourself, are you investing in relationships with strong foundations or just surrounding yourself with a lot of condiments?
