New Year Resolution Tips You May Not Have Heard Before
First, I’m not a big fan of the whole New Year’s resolutions thing. We should have resolutions every morning. Not just once a year. And like Valentine’s Day, the commercialization of this annual ritual makes me a bit nauseous. It’s hype with no real legs. Jumping on a wobbly bandwagon.
It’s like how we’re all extra kind during Christmas, opening doors and saying hellos with eye contact and big smiles. But then the rest of the year we’re dicks. We cut people off, slam doors, and look away. Anyway, instead of resisting it, I say let’s ride the wave.
There is no such thing as bad motivation. If it’s there, let’s use it to our advantage no matter how short lived it can be.
Deep breath.
Better attitude.
Okay, it’s a brand new year. Time to lean into it. Fully. Let’s quickly talk about your mindset. It’s really simple. I don’t know how you want to get there but you have to believe that this year will be an act break year. Not just another chapter. There are chapters and there are act breaks. Chapters build. Act breaks change the direction of the story. Act breaks come in many forms. But they are all life changing. This year is an act break. Know it. Feel it. Believe it. This mindset will position yourself for greater things.
